Odesa under attack: How many Russian drones hit Ukraine overnight

Russia launched 23 drones at Ukraine during the night of June 28. The Odesa region was the main target of the strike, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Russian forces launched attack drones and decoy UAVs from two directions — Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Chauda in Crimea.
Air defense forces destroyed 22 drones (21 were shot down, and 1 was either lost locationally or suppressed by electronic warfare).
According to the Air Force, the main direction of the strike was the Odesa region. An enemy strike UAV hit was recorded in one location (Odesa), while debris from downed drones fell in eight separate locations.

During the night of June 28, Russian forces attacked Odesa with Shahed drones. A 21-story residential building was hit.
The strike caused a fire on the 7th to 9th floors. People were trapped in their apartments. Emergency service units managed to rescue five individuals, including a small child.
As of the morning, two people were confirmed dead in Odesa — a married couple. According to regional authorities, the number of injured has risen to 14, including three children.
