Russian forces attacked Odesa and the surrounding area with drones overnight on June 27–28, damaging civilian infrastructure, according to the post of Odesa Regional Administration head Oleh Kiper.

"Russia attacked Odesa and the surrounding area with strike drones. Civilian infrastructure was damaged, including residential buildings and vehicles," the statement said.

The regional governor added that information about the injured is still being clarified. He also reported that emergency crews are currently working at the site to deal with the aftermath of the strike.

Odesa under fire

As a reminder, late in the evening of June 27, authorities urged Odesa residents to stay in shelters. At the same time, Ukraine’s Air Force reported that groups of drones were heading toward the city.

Shortly after, residents began hearing explosions that continued into the early hours of the following day.

It was later confirmed that the Russian attack damaged civilian infrastructure in Odesa, specifically residential buildings and cars. At least three people were reported injured.
