Odesa hit by explosions, air defenses reportedly active

Explosions were heard in Odesa during the night of October 13, as Russian forces once again attempted to attack the city with drones, according to Suspilne Odesa and the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Air Force.
“Explosions are heard in Odesa,” the message posted at 01:29 Kyiv time said.
A series of additional explosions followed. Meanwhile, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, reported that air defense systems were operating in the region.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Air Force had warned that drones were flying toward Odesa from the Black Sea. Later, at 01:24 Kyiv time, strike drones were detected directly over the city.
So far, there have been no reports of possible consequences from the drone attack.
Attacks on Odesa
Russian forces regularly attack Odesa using strike drones, ballistic missiles, and other types of rockets.
For example, on the night of October 11, the city was hit by a drone attack. The attack damaged energy facilities, apartment buildings, private homes, and a hotel.
In addition, the enemy attack caused partial power and water outages in the city.
