Occupiers shelled a village in Donetsk region - Woman killed

Russian invaders continue to fire on populated areas in the Donetsk region - as a result of another shelling in the village of Yelyzavetivka in the Pokrovsk district, a woman was killed, says Anastasia Medvedeva, a Spokeswoman for the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The prosecutor's representative noted that, according to preliminary data, this strike was carried out by occupiers on Saturday, September 23, using small arms artillery.
The victim of the enemy shelling was a 74-year-old woman. She received a penetrating chest wound, which proved fatal.

In addition, the prosecutor's office added that on the same day, at around 15:42, Avdiivka was also hit by enemy fire. This time, the opponent likely used Grad multiple launch rocket systems for the strikes on the populated area.
As a result of the shelling, one of the shells hit near a multi-story building in Avdiivka, causing a 44-year-old local resident to sustain shrapnel wounds.
"He received qualified medical assistance," added Medvedeva.
The Donetsk Prosecutor's Office has initiated criminal proceedings under Article 438 of the Criminal Code (Violation of the Laws and Customs of War) in connection with all these instances of enemy shelling.
