The Russian army has attacked an agricultural enterprise in Vovchansk, Kharkiv region. Occupiers dropped aerial bombs on grain storage hangars, according to the Chief of the Investigative Department of the Kharkiv Regional Police, Serhii Bolvinov, on Facebook.

"Grain storage hangars in Vovchansk attacked from the sky. The shelling occurred at night, with only regular guards present; fortunately, there were no casualties," the statement reads.

Two Russian aerial bombs destroyed the grain storage facility and the grain processing building.

Investigative and operational groups, as well as explosive experts, are currently at the scene. A criminal case has been opened regarding the latest violation of laws and wartime customs.

Situation in the Kharkiv region

It is worth noting that recently, the British publication The Telegraph claimed that Russians might initiate a "ground offensive" in the Kharkiv region on January 15 after intensified shelling.

Local authorities and the military, however, assert that active combat operations are ongoing in this direction, with the Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully holding back the enemy. Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, also stated that Russia lacks sufficient forces in the Belgorod region to replicate an offensive towards Kharkiv.

On January 9, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny, Minister of Defense Rustem Umeryov, and Chief of the General Staff Sergii Shaptala visited positions near the town of Kupiansk.
