Nutritionist names foods to eat for dinner to lose weight faster
An important factor in weight loss is having the right dinner. Therefore, it's essential to pay attention to it if you want to shed extra pounds and generally feel healthier, according to Ukrainian nutritionist Natalia Samoilenko.
Meal timing
According to the expert, dinner is a very important meal for weight loss.
You should have dinner 3-4 hours before going to sleep. However, it is crucial to prepare your plate correctly.
The nutritionist noted that dinner should be a complete meal and include the main macronutrients.
To ensure that dinner also has therapeutic benefits, try to have vegetables mostly cooked.
Plate structure
The total portion should be 300-350 grams, with vegetables making up 2/3 of your plate. The rest should be protein, which doesn't overload the digestive process.
Protein sources include fish, eggs, seafood, or plant-based proteins like hummus, lentils, and mushrooms.
When dinner is organized correctly, it can make weight loss very comfortable.
Healthy fats are also essential. They can be found in olive oil, avocados, olives, flaxseeds, sesame seeds, and butter. Even a small piece of bacon can be included.
These fats promote satiety, have a positive impact on the cardiovascular system, and interestingly, they don't affect insulin levels at all.
The most important thing you can do to achieve a healthy weight is to avoid trying to eat your entire daily food allowance at dinner.
What to drink before bed to aid weight loss
To help eliminate excess calories, consider these beverages:
- Pineapple juice
- Grapefruit juice
- Green tea
- Chamomile tea
- Ginger tea
- Kefir
- Grape juice
