Number of injured rises sharply after Russian strike on Kharkiv

In Kharkiv, the number of those injured after a ballistic missile strike has sharply increased. The Russians struck the city on Good Friday, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reports.
"The number of wounded as a result of the morning shelling of the city has risen to 74," Terekhov stated.
Russian ballistic missile attack on Kharkiv
Russian forces launched a missile strike on Kharkiv on Good Friday, April 18. Apparently, the Russians deliberately carried out the attack early in the morning, around 5:00 a.m., when most people were still asleep.
The invaders fired three Iskander ballistic missiles at residential neighborhoods in Kharkiv. The strike hit the Osnovianskyi district.
As in the recent shelling of Kryvyi Rih and Sumy, the missile detonated in the air. The Russians use this tactic to hit a larger area and, consequently, to cause more casualties.
Until recently, reports indicated that 60 people had been injured as a result of the shelling of Kharkiv. Among the injured are four girls aged 3, 4, 14, and 16, as well as a 17-year-old boy. In addition, a 79-year-old man was killed.
