No Russian planes spotted in Eastern Ukraine since evening
The air force in eastern Ukraine has not seen any Russian aircraft since the evening, reports the Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk.
Oleshchuk said that no Russian planes have been spotted in eastern Ukraine since 7 p.m. this evening.
"This is the result of the work of the Air Force," he emphasized.
At around 10:40 p.m., the Air Force commander noted that enemy drones were hovering in the south, but no Russian aircraft activity was observed in the east.
Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy Russian aircraft
Over the past two weeks, the Ukrainian military has destroyed many Russian aircraft. Thus, on February 17, three Russian planes were destroyed - two Su-34 fighter-bombers and a Su-35 fighter, and on February 18, another Su-34 was downed.
The next day, the Air Force commander reported the destruction of two more Russian aircraft in the east. Another Su-34 was downed by the military on February 21.
In addition, on February 23, a Russian A-50 was shot down over the Sea of Azov.
Two more Su-34s were shot down on February 27. On February 29, Ukrainian troops destroyed a Su-34 in the Eastern direction and two more Su-34s in the Avdiivka and Mariupol directions.
In addition, yesterday, according to the General Staff, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed another Su-34.
Today, one more Russian plane was downed as well.
