No encirclement of Ukraine's military: Situation in Makarivka area on Vremivka axis

Intense fighting continues in the Makarivka area on the Vremivka axis of the frontline. However, the Russian army has not encircled Ukrainian forces in this area, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing Viktor Trehubov, Spokesman for the Khortytsia Operational and Strategic Grouping of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Trehubov noted that the settlement of Makarivka is located on the Vremivka axis of the frontline, which is currently one of the most intense. The enemy is making significant efforts there, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces are also responding accordingly.
"Right now, fighting is ongoing in this area. Therefore, we cannot go into further details due to the operational security of the troops stationed there. However, I must once again emphasize and clarify that there has been no encirclement," said the spokesman.
According to Trehubov, the information about the alleged encirclement of Ukrainian forces in Makarivka resulted from misinterpreting data.
"Let's just say that it resulted from some observers' misinterpretation of certain data, which sometimes reach them with glitches or delays. It happens," Trehubov added.

Situation in Makarivka
Recently, analysts from DeepState reported that Ukrainian forces were at risk of being encircled in Makarivka, the Donetsk region. On the DeepState map, it was shown that occupying forces had closed the ring around the settlement.
Later, the Spokesperson for Ukraine's Southern Defense Forces explained that stabilization measures were carried out in the Makarivka area, with the military trying to restore positions and prevent encirclement.
According to the spokesman, the situation in that front section is difficult but not hopeless.
As of December 25, DeepState shows Makarivka as occupied. The analysts reported that as of December 23, there were no encircled Ukrainian military units in Makarivka.
