On the night of November 8, Russian forces again attacked Ukraine's gas infrastructure. This is the ninth massive attack on energy facilities since early October, according to the press service of Naftogaz.

According to Serhiy Koretsky, head of the Naftogaz Group, the enemy is deliberately striking enterprises that provide Ukrainians with gas and heat. As a result of the latest attack, hits and damage to production equipment were recorded.

Unfortunately, one company employee was injured. He is currently under medical supervision.

Rescue services are working at the strike sites. As soon as the security situation allows, Naftogaz specialists will begin restoring the damaged facilities.

"Another act of terrorism. Thanks to air defense forces: every target shot down primarily saves lives," said Sergii Koretskyi.

Russia's attack on Ukraine on November 8

On the night of November 8, Russia again carried out a massive attack on Ukrainian territory using drones and missiles. Explosions were reported by residents of Dnipro, as well as Kharkiv and Sumy regions.

As a result of the strikes on energy infrastructure, Kremenchuk and Horishni Plavni in Poltava region were left completely without electricity.

Local authorities are taking all necessary measures to maintain the operation of water supply, sewage, and heating systems even in the absence of electricity. Resilience centers for residents are also being set up.

Russian forces also shelled the suburbs of Kharkiv. Due to the attack, the city is experiencing electricity and water outages, the metro is temporarily not operating, and some districts face water supply problems. Trolleybus routes have been replaced with buses.

That night, Russia launched 503 aerial attack weapons at Ukraine:

  • 458 Shahed and Gerbera strike drones

  • 25 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles

  • 10 Iskander-K cruise missiles

  • 7 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles

  • 3 Kalibr cruise missiles

As of 10:00 a.m., air defense had shot down or suppressed 415 aerial targets.
