Night strike on Odesa: Photos show aftermath of drone hit on high-rise building

Russian forces launched an overnight attack on Odesa on June 28 using Shahed-type strike drones. One of the drones hit a high-rise residential building, with reports confirming two fatalities, according to Suspilne.
According to the State Emergency Service (SES), the drone struck a 21-story apartment building. The impact caused a fire on the 7th, 8th, and 9th floors. Several people were trapped inside their apartments. Five individuals were evacuated from the building, including a small child.
After firefighters extinguished the flames, rescuers found the bodies of a married couple beneath the rubble. Two injured children were taken to medical facilities — a 7-year-old boy in moderate condition and a 3-year-old child suffering from smoke inhalation. Both are receiving full medical care.
Four adults were also hospitalized in moderate condition.

Late yesterday evening, June 27, local authorities and the Ukrainian Air Force reported a threat of enemy attack drones in the southern regions.
After that, local residents heard the sounds of explosions, and soon it became known that civilian infrastructure had been damaged. In particular, houses and cars were damaged.
