On the night of July 12, Lviv endured a powerful drone attack — one of the most massive strikes on the city since the war began.

The city mayor, Andrii Sadovyi, reports on the aftermath of the attack on a residential multi-story building.

According to the mayor, a two-story residential building in the area of Mytropolyta Andriia Street was damaged. The entrance was partially destroyed, and there were gas and water leaks.

Preliminary information indicates there were no casualties, as all residents were in shelters. Several people received first aid on-site.

Among other consequences of the attack, in the Zaliznychnyi district, the roof of a non-residential building caught fire, affecting an area of 200 square meters. Several buildings and a kindergarten were damaged, many windows were broken, dozens of cars were damaged, and the overhead electric network was severed.

Due to the damage to the contact network, trolleybuses №22, 30, and 32 will not operate in the morning.

Notably, the air raid alert in Lviv began around 2:33 a.m. Kyiv time on July 12. Between 3 and 5 a.m., the city experienced a massive attack by enemy strike drones, numbering in the dozens. There was also a threat of cruise missile strikes, but they likely continued further toward Lutsk.

Russia launched a large number of strike drones of the Shahed type, as well as missiles, targeting the western regions of Ukraine this time.

Initially, explosions were reported in Kropyvnytskyi and Cherkasy. Later, air defense operations were reported in Kyiv, Chernivtsi, and Lutsk. More details can be found in the article by RBC-Ukraine.

There were also loud explosions in Lutsk and the Volyn region. Additionally, air defense systems were active in Lviv.
