Nicki Minaj publicly supported Trump, calling herself his ‘number one fan’

American rapper Nicki Minaj publicly expressed her support for Donald Trump, calling herself his number one fan. The artist held hands with the president and even received his gold card.
According to RBC-Ukraine, the flamboyant performer praised the U.S. president during the Trump Accounts summit in Washington.
How Nicki Minaj supported Trump
During the event, the president invited the artist on stage after she announced her support for the so-called Trump Accounts trust fund programs for children of American citizens.
“I will say that I am probably the president's number one fan, and that's not going to change. And the hate or what people have to say, it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more,” the singer said.
“We’re not going to let them get away with bullying him. He has a lot of force behind him, and God is protecting him. Amen,” she added.

During the event, Trump jokingly promised to “grow nails like Nicki” and also held her hand while another speaker addressed the audience.
“She’s so good. She’s been MAGA, what can I say? She’s been such a great supporter, and a great supporter of Trump Accounts,” said the U.S. president.

What is known about Trump’s gold card
The visa initiative was launched last year. It allows those who make significant contributions to society to accelerate the path to U.S. residency. The program requires a contribution of $1 million and payment of a $15,000 fee.
It has also faced criticism amid tougher policies on illegal migration and a wave of protests following events involving ICE agents.
What is known about Nicki Minaj’s life in the U.S.
The artist is originally from Trinidad and Tobago. She came to the country with her parents at age five and was without legal status for some time. In 2018, she condemned the practice of family separation at the border.
In 2024, during a TikTok livestream, she admitted that she still was not a U.S. citizen despite years of living in the country and paying taxes. Meanwhile, the gold card gives her the right to residency and a simplified path to citizenship.
In December, Minaj also appeared at an event in Arizona along with the widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
