Prince Harry made an unexpected appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. He took part in a comedic sketch and joked about the American president during the episode.
How Prince Harry joked about Trump and Americans
The Duke of Sussex walked onto the stage during the host's monologue about the popularity of Christmas movies with royal themes.
He joked that he had gotten lost while looking for a casting call for a film in which a prince saves Christmas.
"Well, you Americans are obsessed with Christmas movies, and you're clearly obsessed with royalty, so why not?" Harry said.
The host tried to deny the obsession, but Harry immediately replied with a sharp punchline.
"Really? I heard you elected a king," he quipped.

In February of this year, the US president referred to himself as a "king" in a post on Truth Social, and the official White House account later published a fake Time cover featuring him in a crown, accompanied by the caption "Long live the king."
"I'll fly myself to an audition, settle a baseless lawsuit with the White House—all the things you people in TV do!" Harry added jokingly.
Colbert responded that he had done none of that, to which Harry reacted with a brief comeback.
"Maybe that's why you're cancelled," he joked, and the audience responded with applause.
By the way, this was Harry's second appearance on Colbert's show. The first took place in January 2023 during the promotion of his memoir Spare.
What is known about the closure of The Late Show
The show will end in May 2026. News of its cancellation surfaced in July, just weeks after a lawsuit filed by Trump against CBS and Paramount last year was settled.
At the time, he accused the network of election interference because of an interview with Kamala Harris on 60 Minutes. In July, he ultimately received a 16-million-dollar payment as part of the settlement.
The company explained the closure of The Late Show due to financial reasons and overall cuts. At the same time, some media outlets, experts, and viewers noted that the decision was announced just a few days after Colbert criticised the deal with Trump.
