The next meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Ramstein format will take place on September 9 in London, a spokesperson for the German Ministry of Defense told Suspilne.
According to him, the meeting will be held in a mixed format, and the agenda has not yet been disclosed.
The spokesperson for the German Ministry of Defense explained that, due to consultations on the agenda, he could not comment on the topic at the moment.
Ukraine Defense Contact Group
The last meeting in the Ramstein format took place on July 21. At that time, Ukraine's Minister of Defense Denys Shmyhal stated that Ukraine needs 6 billion dollars this year to cover the procurement gap.
It also became known that the United States, together with NATO, is launching a new mechanism that will allow European countries to purchase American weapons for Ukraine.
In addition, Germany, Canada, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden announced additional aid packages.
