New Russian attempts to take control of Kupiansk, Military Administration comments
Russian troops have not made any further attempts to enter Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region following their recent failed assault. However, hostilities in the area remain ongoing, Andrii Besedin, Head of the Kupiansk City Military Administration, reported.
"No, there haven't been any (repeated assaults – ed.). The enemy attempted a surprise attack to breach our rear but faced a strong repulse. Understanding the high likelihood of destruction, they haven't tried again," stated Besedin.
The Head of the Kupiansk City Military Administration also noted that Russian forces are using guided aerial bombs, multiple-launch rocket systems, and artillery to target both civilian areas and Ukrainian military positions, aiming to inflict maximum damage.
"It's tough because the enemy has significant manpower, equipment, etc," added Besedin.
