Russian troops used Ukraine's Forces uniforms during assault in Kupiansk sector - General Staff
Russian troops attempted to advance in the Kupiansk direction today, November 13. Some of them were dressed in Ukrainian Armed Forces uniforms, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Telegram.
According to the General Staff, starting from 02:30 PM Kyiv time, Russian soldiers attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses in the Kupiansk direction. The enemy's assault groups attacked in four waves.
For the attempted offensive, the Russian army used about 15 units of equipment, including tanks, armored combat vehicles, and the UR-77 mine-clearing vehicle.
"It should be noted that some Russian soldiers were dressed in Ukrainian Armed Forces uniforms. This violates the laws and rules of warfare and constitutes a war crime," the General Staff clarified.

Despite this, Ukrainian defenders successfully stopped the enemy — destroying all of their armored vehicles and eliminating a significant portion of the personnel.
It is worth noting that this is not the first known case of Russian soldiers dressing in Ukrainian Armed Forces uniforms and attempting to break through the positions of Ukrainian defenders.
In particular, in 2022, Russian soldiers dressed in Ukrainian military uniforms and tried to seize a surveillance post in the Mykolaiv region. The enemy troops were destroyed.
Additionally, in 2023, it was reported that the Russian troops used Ukrainian military uniforms in the Tavria direction, but they were uncovered by Ukrainian defenders.
