Russian paratroopers broke through into Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region, but Ukrainian forces managed to eliminate the invaders, preventing them from gaining a foothold, Andrii Besedin, Head of the Kupiansk City Military Administration, reported.

According to Besedin, the Russian paratroopers who crossed into the left-bank area of Kupiansk on November 13 failed to hold their positions.

When asked if the Russian forces that had hidden in local houses had been neutralized, Besedin said, "They were eliminated."

The Head of the Kupiansk City Military Administration also added that, as of the morning of November 14, the situation in the city remained under control.

Russians entered Kupiansk

On November 13, the DeepState online source released footage showing Russian forces advancing on Kupiansk. Analysts reported that two columns of enemy equipment moved toward the city from the area around Lyman Pershyi.

Ukrainian forces succeeded in destroying the enemy's columns. Approximately 15 Russian soldiers hid in local buildings in Kupiansk after their military equipment was struck. The Russians attempted to call in reinforcements, but these were also targeted and hit by Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Earlier on November 13, the General Staff of Ukraine reported that invaders dressed in Ukrainian Armed Forces uniforms attempted to advance on Kupiansk. The Russian assault involved around 15 units of equipment and staged four waves of attacks with assault groups.

Ukrainian forces managed to stop the assault and destroy all of the enemy's armored vehicles.
