New Romanian leader to visit Ukraine and attend Ukraine-Southeast Europe summit

New Romanian President Nicușor Dan has confirmed his participation in the Ukraine-Southeast Europe Summit, which will take place this summer in Odesa, according to the head of state.
According to Zelenskyy, he met with Romania's new president for the first time today and congratulated him on his election victory.
The two presidents discussed diplomatic efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine and across Europe, the meeting in Istanbul, and the need to strengthen sanctions against Russia to prevent Moscow from expanding its military production and continuing the war.
Special attention was also given to the upcoming NATO summit in The Hague.
"I thank Nicușor Dan for assuring that Ukraine can count on continued support from Romania, backing for EU and NATO membership, and his confirmed personal participation in the Ukraine–Southeast Europe Summit to be held in Odesa," Zelenskyy added.
