New Israeli strikes on Iran, whether US supports or not

US President Donald Trump may support Israel if a decision is made to launch a renewed strike on Iran, should Tehran attempt to revive its nuclear program, according to Axios.
According to two informed sources, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is seeking to reach an understanding with the US president regarding future negotiations on the Iran nuclear deal, as well as potential scenarios that may require new strikes on the Islamic Republic.
Previously, Netanyahu’s adviser, Ron Dermer, held a meeting with senior officials in the Trump administration. Sources note that following the talks, Dermer came away with the impression that the White House would support Israel in launching new strikes on Iran under certain circumstances.
According to sources, one possible scenario that could trigger further strikes is Iran’s attempt to transfer highly enriched uranium from damaged facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.
A second scenario would be if Iran resumes uranium enrichment as part of its nuclear program.
The outlet also noted that one of the key issues discussed by Ron Dermer with senior officials was Iran’s stockpile of highly enriched uranium.
Israeli strikes on Iran
On June 13, Israel launched a military operation targeting Iranian military and nuclear facilities.
The US entered what has been called the 12th war on June 22, carrying out strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.
Following these events, US President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire, stating that the war was over and hostilities would not continue.
Earlier, Israeli Ambassador Michael Brodsky said that Israel had achieved nearly all of its objectives in the operation. However, he noted that further escalation would not benefit either Iran or Israel.
He stated that Tehran could have suffered even greater losses, while Israel risked becoming entangled in a prolonged war.
