The government of the Netherlands is allocating an additional €700 million for Ukraine. The funds will be directed toward Ukraine’s military support for the upcoming 2026 year, according to The Guardian.

"The Netherlands will earmark another 700m euros ($815m) to provide Ukraine with military support in the first quarter of 2026," the report states.

It is noted that earlier the government had promised to allocate €3.5 billion for support next year, but a significant part of those funds has already been spent this year.

Meanwhile, Dutch Foreign Minister David van Weel confirmed the allocation of additional funds for Ukraine.

"The Netherlands has been providing Ukraine with substantial support since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion. The government is now allocating an additional €700 million at an accelerated pace, which will allow continued deliveries of military equipment at the beginning of 2026," the diplomat said.

Assistance to Ukraine from the Netherlands

Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Netherlands has actively supported Kyiv by supplying weapons and military equipment to counter the aggressor.

On December 4, the country announced €35 million in funding through the NATO UCAP (Ukraine Comprehensive Assistance Package) program for medical supplies, equipment, and other practical assistance for Ukrainian troops over the winter.

In addition, the Netherlands will allocate another €250 million under the PURL initiative (Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List) to purchase weapons in the United States and transfer them to Ukraine.

At the end of October, the Netherlands also announced €25 million for equipment, emergency repairs, and gas purchases for the country.

The Netherlands also supports the creation of a Special Tribunal on the crime of Russian aggression.

Overall, since Russia’s invasion began, the Netherlands has provided €13.5 billion in military assistance and about €3.5 billion in other support.
