Netanyahu: Israel is fighting on seven fronts
Almost a year after the Hamas attack, Israel is fighting on seven fronts. Among Tel Aviv's enemies are Iranian-backed Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis in Yemen, Shiite militias in Iraq and Syria, and terrorists in the West Bank, states Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
He noted that Iran continues to play a key role in the conflict, having launched more than 200 ballistic missiles at Israel over the past week.
Netanyahu also added that Israel has been actively engaged in military operations against Lebanon, launching nearly 9,000 strikes since October 8, in response to 1,500 attacks by Hezbollah.
Speaking about the Gaza Strip, Netanyahu emphasized that Israel continues to fight for the release of 101 hostages taken by Hamas.
The prime minister criticized French President Emmanuel Macron and other countries for calling for an arms embargo on Israel, saying that Israel will fight until the battle is won for the sake of peace and security in the world.
October 7 will mark the one-year anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel. According to The Guardian, on the eve of this anniversary, the Israeli military is intensifying its operations and preparing a “significant and serious retaliation” to Iran for the recent large-scale missile attack.
On the night of October 1, Israel launched a ground operation near Lebanon. The IDF said that ground forces are operating with the support of aviation and artillery, which are striking military targets in Lebanon.
