Today, October 6, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to the official Kremlin website.

During the call, the leaders discussed the current developments in the Middle East, including former US President Donald Trump's plan to normalize the situation in the Gaza Strip.

In addition, Netanyahu wished Putin an early happy birthday, offering his sincerest congratulations. In return, Putin congratulated Netanyahu and the people of Israel on the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.

Earlier, German intelligence revealed evidence that Russia is reportedly discussing a plan to attack NATO. European Commissioner Andrius Kubilius warned that Russia could indeed be preparing for war.

He emphasized that the EU and NATO must be ready for a potential military conflict and learn from both the experiences of Ukrainians and of the Russians themselves.

Recently, Vladimir Putin dismissed reports of plans to attack NATO as nonsense. The Russian leader also claimed that if the European Union believes Russia plans to attack NATO countries, then European leaders are incompetent.
