German intelligence has evidence that the Kremlin is discussing a plan to attack NATO, EU Defense Commissioner Andrius Kubilius stated this in an interview with Wyborcza newspaper.

"German intelligence claims it has evidence that the Kremlin is discussing an attack on NATO. And if it is discussing it, is it planning an attack? We do not know. But such signals should be treated extremely seriously," Kubilius said.

The European Commissioner did not rule out that Russia could indeed be preparing for war. According to him, NATO and Europe must also be ready for this and learn not only from the experience of Ukrainians, but also from the experience of the Russians themselves.

"We need to make up for lost time. And we are already doing that. The European Commission has started supporting the defense industry. As a result, the production of artillery shells will increase in 2025. I am glad to see new arms factories being built in the EU. We are catching up," Kubilius noted.

Putin says he does not plan to attack NATO

Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed that reports about Russia’s alleged plans to attack NATO are "nonsense" and "impossible to believe."

In particular, the Russian leader dared to say that if Europe believes Russia plans to attack NATO countries, then, according to him, the leaders of European nations are "incompetent."

"They say Russia is going to attack NATO. How can anyone believe that? It’s impossible to believe. If they really believe it, they are incompetent," Putin said.
