Netanyahu calls protesters against Israel in US 'Iran's useful idiots'
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sharply criticized Americans who are opposed to Israeli actions in the Gaza Strip during his speech to the US Congress.
During his speech, he addressed those Americans who are opposed to his visit to the US.
"I have a message for these protesters: When the tyrants of Tehran who hang gays from cranes and murder women for not covering their hair are praising, promoting and funding you, you have officially become Iran's useful idiots," emphasized Netanyahu.
He noted that some of the protesters were holding signs that read "Gays for Gaza."
"They might as well hold up signs saying 'Chickens for KFC.'" mocked the Israeli Prime Minister.
Netanyahu also accused the anti-Israel protesters of complete ignorance of history and geography.
Support for Palestine among Americans
It is worth noting that a significant number of Americans sharply criticize Israel for its war with Hamas militants. Their criticism focuses on the fact that many civilians in the Gaza Strip have been harmed due to the actions of the Israel Defense Forces.
In particular, there have been mass student protests in the US against providing any assistance to Israel.
Against this backdrop, Republicans have introduced a bill in the House of Representatives proposing to send to Gaza protesters who have broken the law on campus.
Israel began military operations in Gaza after Hamas militants invaded the country and started killing and abducting civilians. Peaceful Israelis continue to be held hostage by the terrorists.
