Netanyahu and Trump plan victory celebration after Iran strikes – Axios

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump are planning to celebrate their victory over Iran during a face-to-face meeting, which could take place in the coming weeks, according to Axios.
According to the outlet, Trump and Netanyahu consider the 12-day war against Iran a major achievement — both for their countries and their personal legacies.
Two unnamed Israeli officials told the publication that initial discussions have already taken place between Netanyahu's advisers and White House representatives regarding a possible visit, although a date has not yet been set.
"There is a mutual interest from both side of doing a victory party after the war with Iran," one Axios source said.
Another Israeli official suggested that Netanyahu's visit to Washington could take place during the second week of July.
At the same time, Netanyahu’s spokesperson stated that he was not aware of any planned visit to Washington.
The potential meeting is expected to solidify the leaders' narrative of success regarding the Iran operation and to discuss their next joint steps in the region.
Operation against Iran
Nearly two weeks ago, Israel launched a military operation aimed at destroying Iran's nuclear program. Missile strikes were carried out on nuclear facilities located within Iranian territory.
Last weekend, the United States joined Israel in targeting Iran's underground nuclear sites, which are considered particularly difficult to destroy.
Following the strikes, US President Donald Trump declared that Iran's nuclear facilities had been completely destroyed.
However, media outlets citing unnamed sources have reported that Iran may have removed enriched uranium from the targeted sites before the strikes. As a result, the possibility of Iran producing nuclear weapons still remains.
