In Nepal, protesters set fire to the parliament building and other government institutions. Footage of the blaze has appeared online, reports Online Khabar.

Protesters set fire to government institutions, party offices, leaders' residences, property of controversial businessmen, as well as media offices. Politicians were physically attacked, something that had never happened before.

According to the publication, as a result of the mass arsons, "all archives of state institutions accumulated throughout Nepal's history have turned into smoke."

The demonstrations began after the blocking of social networks and escalated into a nationwide uprising against corruption and chaos in the country. Security forces were unable to stop the protesters, and the Nepalese army also did not intervene.

According to media reports, in just one day the number of dead exceeded 20, with the total death toll reaching 24. Among the attacked sites were the prime minister's residence, the presidential administration building, and other key government institutions.

The situation in the country remains critical: the state apparatus is effectively paralyzed, protesters control a significant part of the capital, and society is gripped by fear due to fires, riots, and attacks.
