Nearly 500 occupiers neutralized in Tavria direction by Ukrainian Armed Forces, enemy reduces attacks

In the last 24 hours, on December 1, Ukrainian military eliminated 495 more terrorists in the Tavria direction. The enemy scaled back its attacks, including in the vicinity of Avdiivka, the joint press center of the Defense Forces of the Tavria direction reports.
During the day, Russians:
- carried out 4 airstrikes;
- conducted 34 combat clashes;
- carried out 648 artillery barrages.
"At the moment, the fighting is ongoing. In general, in the operational zone of the Tavria anti-aircraft missile defense system, and in particular near Avdiivka, the enemy has reduced the number of attacks by almost one and a half times compared to the previous day. One of the reasons is the very high losses of the enemy," says the spokesperson of the Unified Press Center of the Defense Forces of the Tavria direction, Oleksandr Shtupun on telethon broadcast.
As Shtupun explained, the reduction in attacks may be due to the enemy's need to:
- regrouping;
- transportation of ammunition;
- replenishment of losses.
Avdiivka direction
In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy persists in attempts to encircle Avdiivka, but our troops steadfastly hold their defense, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. Unsuccessful were the offensive actions of the adversary in areas south of Novokalynove, Stepove, Avdiivka, Severne, and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region, where defense forces repelled 21 attacks.
Maryinka direction
In the Maryinka direction, the enemy, supported by aviation, conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the area of Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region.
Shakhtarsk direction
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy did not engage in offensive (assault) actions.
Zaporizhzhia direction
The enemy made eight unsuccessful attempts at offensive actions to reclaim lost positions near Robotyno in Zaporizhzhia region. Additionally, they carried out unsuccessful assault actions west of Verbove in Zaporizhzhia region, with our defenders successfully repelling four more attacks.
Achievements of Ukrainian soldiers
The Ukrainian military continues to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction.
The enemy lost 495 people. Also, 8 pieces of equipment were destroyed, including:
- 4 BBM;
- 2 UAVs;
- 2 cars.
"Another 13 units of enemy equipment were damaged," the press service writes.
Frontline situation
Since October, Russian terrorists have been actively assaulting Avdiivka. Despite significant losses during the offensive operation, they persist in their attacks, introducing new units into the battle. Notably, the level of destruction in Avdiivka surpasses that of Bakhmut.
According to analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the Russian military and official leadership intentionally label the terrorists' offensive efforts in Avdiivka as "active defense" to mask the lack of any tangible progress.
