NATO military leadership will hold a meeting to discuss the situation in Ukraine. It will take place on Wednesday, August 20, reports The Guardian.

As noted, the meeting of NATO military leaders on Ukraine will take place tomorrow in an online format.

According to Reuters, NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Europe Alexus G. Grynkewich will brief representatives of other Alliance countries on the results of the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin last week in Alaska.

From the US side, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine will participate.

Talks on the war in Ukraine

On August 16, Trump and Putin held a meeting in Alaska, where they discussed ending Russia's war against Ukraine.

On August 18, Trump met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European leaders at the White House. After that, the US President called Putin to arrange a meeting at the level of leaders.

According to Zelenskyy, Russia agreed to a bilateral meeting and then to hold negotiations in a trilateral format.

Switzerland stated that it is ready to host the summit and provide Putin with immunity from the ICC.
