On the night of September 12 in Elmont, New York, the MTV Video Music Awards 2024 ceremony took place. The winners in all categories were announced from the stage, and the stars put on a fantastic show.

In the Video of the Year category, Taylor Swift and Post Malone won for their music video for the song Fortnight. The video gathered over 107 million views in four months. This work also earned them victories in the categories of Best Collaboration, Best Direction, and Song of the Summer.

The singer and rapper accepted the award to loud applause and thanked everyone involved in creating the video.


Artist of the Year went to Taylor Swift. She also won in the Best Pop category. Swift once again took the spotlight at the MTV ceremony, as she has been receiving awards for many years in a row.


Song of the Year was awarded to Sabrina Carpenter for her song Espresso. She performed her hits and was outstanding.

The singer was very nervous but in her speech expressed her gratitude primarily to her fans for their strong support.


The award for Best New Artist went to Chappell Roan. At the ceremony, she performed her song Good Luck, Babe! with a vibrant show.

When Roan went to accept her award, she brought a notebook with her to avoid forgetting her speech. The singer laughed, joked, and touched her fans with her words about the victory.


In the Push Performance of The Year category, South Korean group LE SSERAFIM won with their mini-album EASY. They set the stage on fire with their hit Crazy.

In the Best Hip-Hop category, Eminem won with his video for Houdini. The artist wowed the stage with his performance, with him and all the dancers wearing white wigs. Interestingly, this video also won in the Best Visual Effects category.

The award for Best R&B went to SZA for her video Snooze, which garnered over 83 million views on YouTube in a year.

The award for Best Alternative was given to Benson Boone for his music video Beautiful Things.

In the Best Rock category, Lenny Kravitz won with the video for his song Human. He performed his hits at the ceremony, getting the audience on their feet for his legendary songs.

The award for Best Latin went to Anitta for her video for the track Mil Veces. She also performed her fiery hits during the ceremony.

The award for Best K-pop went to LISA for her video Rockstar. She staged a vibrant show, performing several of her songs.

In the Best Afrobeats category, Tyla won with her video for the track Water.


The Video for Good award went to Billie Eilish for her video for the song What Was I Made For?

The award for Best Cinematography was given to Ariana Grande's video for "we can't be friends (wait for your love)." The victory in the Best Choreography category was awarded to Dua Lipa's video for the song Houdini. The Best Art Direction award was won by Megan Thee Stallion's video for the track BOA.

The award for Best Trending Video went to Megan Thee Stallion feat. Yuki Chiba for their video for the song Mamushi.

Best Group went to SEVENTEEN, while the VMAs Most Iconic Performance award was given to Katy Perry for her performance of Roar in 2013.
