Unknown drones attempted to attack the Russian capital overnight on April 3. Two drones were shot down, if the words of local authorities are to be believed, according to Russian media and the Telegram page of Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin.

"Air defense forces of the Ministry of Defense shot down a drone heading toward Moscow. Emergency services specialists are working at the site where the debris fell," Sobyanin wrote on Telegram.

An hour later, another message appeared on his page — about another downed drone.

Due to threats from aerial vehicles, Russia introduced temporary restrictions on aircraft arrivals and departures at two airports — Moscow's Vnukovo and Yaroslavl's Tunoshna.

In public channels, Moscow residents complained about the sounds of air defense systems operating and expressed themselves using obscene language.

On March 21, the Russian air defense system likely shot down a light aircraft in the Moscow region's Kolomna area; the crew died.

Recently, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin spent the entire evening writing about the fight against drones heading toward the Russian capital. That was on March 14.
