Drones hit Leningrad region refinery zone as Moscow also targeted

The Leningrad region came under attack by unknown drones; since the evening, over 20 of them have been counted, which were shot down. Drones were also heading toward Moscow, according to Telegram OSINT channels.
It is reported that in Kirishi, Leningrad region, drones attacked the industrial zone of the Kirishi oil refinery - local authorities confirmed the incident. This refers to the region’s governor, Alexander Drozdenko.
Netizens also report that in Vyborg, also in the Leningrad region, loud sounds were heard due to air defense activity. Photos circulating online show the sky in the Russian region glowing red, apparently due to the drone attack.
Regarding Moscow, the city’s mayor, Sergei Sobyanin, reported drone incursions toward the Russian capital.
“Three more drones heading for Moscow have been destroyed. Emergency services are working at the debris crash site,” similar messages appeared on his Telegram.
Drones attack Russia
The settlement and railway station of Ust-Luga were attacked the previous day. Reports indicated a fire and thick smoke in the area. It is understood that the port there was targeted.
OSINT specialists believe this was one of the most effective attacks on Russian port infrastructure since the start of the war.
