According to eyewitnesses cited by the media, the fire broke out on the evening of May 12 on the territory of the Izmailovo Kremlin cultural and entertainment complex.
It is alleged that the fire spread to the roof of one of the administrative buildings. The total area of the fire reached 200 square meters, after which the fire expanded to 1,000 square meters.
Moscow's Ministry of Emergency Situations stated that the fire broke out in a metal-framed building on Vernisazhnaya Street.
Meanwhile, the Russian media outlet Ostorozhno, Moskva reports that, according to their information, the fire started in the technical room of a quest attraction located next to the museum complex. Preliminary reports suggest the cause of the fire was a short circuit and faulty wiring.
According to the latest information, five people have been rescued during the fire on the territory of the Kremlin. Over 100 personnel and 30 units of equipment have been deployed to extinguish the fire.
Incidents in Russia
For reference, on the night of March 21, Russians complained about one of the most massive attacks by unknown drones. Notably, that night, the mayor of the Russian capital, Sergei Sobyanin, repeatedly reported the alleged elimination of drones.
Against the backdrop of the attack, Moscow's Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports experienced disruptions, complicating air travel.
On the night of May 4, unknown drones also attempted to attack Moscow. One of the drones hit a building on Mosfilmovskaya Street where Russian blogger Mikhail Litvin, known for his public support of the Russian army, lives.
