Russian occupiers struck critical infrastructure in the Shostka district of Sumy region this morning using drones and missile weapons, according to the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

"This morning, on July 21, the enemy carried out a missile and air strike on critical infrastructure facilities in the Shostka district," the administration's publication on Telegram states.

The administration also noted that emergency services are working at the sites of the strikes.

"The consequences of the enemy attack are being clarified," the administration added.

Enemy air attack on July 21

Earlier, it was reported that Russian occupiers launched another series of air strikes on Ukrainian territory last night. The enemy deployed several groups of kamikaze drones, presumably of the Shahed type, and alarms were sounded in several regions.

Only in the morning did the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announce the end of the threat from enemy attack drones. It was noted that the military had also reported the movement of enemy air targets towards the Sumy region, specifically in the direction of Shostka.

Additionally, the Air Force warned of the threat of missile strikes and air raids.

It should be noted that during the drone attack, an explosion was heard in Chernihiv. Furthermore, air defense systems were activated in the Kyiv region due to Shaheds heading towards Kyiv.

Later, it was reported that all enemy attack drones launched towards Kyiv were shot down by the air defense forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There were no casualties or damage.
