In Kyiv, the number of people injured as a result of the combined Russian air attack has exceeded 70. Nine people were killed in the capital due to the massive overnight shelling, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko reports.

The Minister stated that Kyiv suffered the most from the enemy's large-scale combined attack. Rescue teams were deployed to 13 locations.

"Tragic consequences in the Sviatoshynskyi district. The clearing of rubble from a destroyed building is still ongoing. Engineering units, rescue teams of the State Emergency Service, and search dogs are involved. Phone calls are still being heard from under the ruins - the search will continue until they are sure everyone has been found," Klymenko said.

According to Ukraine's Minister, there is information about two children who are still missing at the scene.

As of 7:30 a.m. Kyiv time, nine people were killed in Kyiv due to the Russian attack. Over 70 others sustained various injuries.

Meanwhile, Suspilne media, reporting from the site of the strike in Sviatoshynskyi district, mentioned a tenth killed victim.

Massive shelling of Ukraine

During the night of April 24, Russian occupiers launched a combined strike on Ukraine - several waves of missiles and drones were fired. Kyiv was also targeted. The occupiers attacked the Ukrainian capital with both missiles and UAVs.

Rescuers have been eliminating the consequences of the nighttime shelling in five districts of Kyiv. Residential buildings were damaged, and search operations for people trapped under the rubble are ongoing.

Earlier, the State Emergency Service reported nine killed victims and 63 injured, including six children who were hospitalized. The number of injured has now exceeded 70.

That night, Russian troops also carried out massive attacks on Kharkiv, as well as the Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy regions, and Zaporizhzhia.
