Italian actress and model Monica Bellucci has commented for the first time on her breakup with American director Tim Burton after two years of dating, according to the star’s interview with Italian VOGUE.
What Bellucci said about her breakup with Tim Burton
According to the actress, their relationship ended peacefully, without resentment or conflict.
"Sometimes paths cross for a while to walk together… Tim and I crossed paths to be together for a time, and then go our separate ways," the actress said.
"However, as long as I am alive, Tim will always have a special place in my heart," she added.

In February 2023, media outlets reported on a romance between Monica Bellucci and Tim Burton.
In the summer, the actress confirmed their relationship for the first time in an interview with French Elle, admitting that she loves the director and considers their meeting one of those rare events that happen in life.
At the time, 59-year-old Bellucci said she was happy with 66-year-old Burton, whom she loves as a man and respects as an artist.
Earlier, in a comment to Madame Figaro, the actress emphasized that their union creates "a form of collaboration that gives life to creativity."

However, on September 19, 2025, the couple officially announced their breakup. This occurred less than two weeks before Bellucci’s 60th birthday, which she will celebrate on September 30.
Burton himself already celebrated his 67th birthday in August.
