Moldova's Ministry of Foreign Affairs handed a note of protest to Russia's newly appointed ambassador, Oleg Ozerov, in response to Russia's interference in the election and the crash of two Russian drones on Moldovan territory, according to the press service of the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova handed a note of protest to the Russian diplomat, condemning Russia's illegal interference in the election and referendum in Moldova with the aim of distorting their results, undermining, and delegitimizing the democratic process in Moldova," a statement says.

The Ministry emphasized that it had repeatedly called on Russian authorities to immediately cease these actions and refrain from any future interference in Moldova's internal affairs.

In addition, Moldova condemned the violation of its airspace on November 10.

"The relevant authorities of our country have information that these drones were indeed launched from Russia. The ambassador was warned that such aggressive actions are a serious violation and an unfriendly gesture from Russia, as these drones pose a threat to the lives of citizens," the Ministry said.
