Moldova reveals final results of Euro referendum
In an advisory referendum, the majority of citizens of the Republic of Moldova supported the country's integration into the European Union, with the margin being less than 1%, according to the Central Electoral Commission of Moldova.
A total of 2,219 protocols were processed, corresponding to the full count.
Of these, 50.46% supported the country's accession to the EU, while 49.54% opposed the decision.
Presidential elections and referendum in Moldova
On Sunday, October 20, presidential elections took place in the Republic of Moldova. Simultaneously, citizens expressed their views on proposed constitutional amendments regarding the country's accession to the European Union.
According to the results from 100% of the ballots, the incumbent president, Maia Sandu, received the majority of votes with 42.45%. Her key opponent, Alexandr Stoianoglo, garnered 25.98%.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova accused the Kremlin of artificially provoking queues at polling stations in Russia.
Earlier, the government accused Russia of attempting to destabilize the political situation in the country.
