Ukraine has virtually no missiles left to intercept Russian ballistic missiles. Moreover, a shortage of PAC-3 missiles is being felt worldwide, states Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov, an adviser to Ukraine's Defense Minister and a radio technology specialist, in a comment to Radio NV.

"And this problem is not unique to us; it exists worldwide because there is currently a shortage of these PAC-3 missiles due to events taking place around the globe. We have contracts in place and have already contracted a large number of Patriot missiles for the upcoming period. Right now, we are asking our partners, NATO countries, to lend us these missiles," he said.

Ukraine has pledged to return the missiles, but according to "Flash", everyone understands that the global situation is unstable, including in Europe.

Countries are preserving their missile stockpiles

"We see a lot of reports suggesting that there could potentially be aggression against Poland or against other Baltic states. This is the reason why many countries are now trying to preserve their Patriot missile stockpiles, because no one knows what will happen next," the deputy minister noted.

Flash pointed out that a "strange and aggressive neighbor" poses a threat to countries that share a border with Russia, which is why they are trying to conserve their missiles, including Germany.

"I saw what Germany's defense minister said — that they are also trying to prepare for possible future actions by Russia. And that is indeed possible. We simply do not understand what is going on in Putin's mind or what he may do next," "Flash" emphasized.

During the night, Ukrainian defenders did not intercept a single ballistic missile launched toward Kyiv. At the same time, the interception rate against cruise missiles and Kalibr missiles remained high.

Air Force spokesperson Yurii Ihnat explained that the main reason was a shortage of interceptor missiles for the Patriot air defense system.
