Russia has launched another massive attack on Ukraine. During the night of June 29, Russia used drones and missiles, a significant number of which were aimed at the western regions of the country.

Lviv region

Local authorities warned of drone and missile threats. According to the Air Force, a large number of missiles were headed for the region during the night, and air defense was active.

Lviv Regional Governor Maksym Kozytskyi reported that drones and cruise missiles were used in the attack. There were no casualties or injuries.

"Russia targeted critical infrastructure in our region. All emergency services are working at the scene," he added.

Poltava region

According to Governor Volodymyr Kohut, a facility in the Kremenchuk district was hit during a combined attack, causing a fire.

Cherkasy region

"Russia attacks damaged civilian infrastructure. According to preliminary data, three people were injured," said regional governor Ihor Taburets.

Zaporizhzhia

The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported a missile strike on the city that damaged a production facility at one of the local enterprises. No casualties have been reported.

Weapons used

On the evening of June 28, Russia launched waves of drones across Ukraine and lifted three Tu-95MS strategic bombers from Olenya airfield in the Murmansk region.

By morning, Ukraine’s Air Force also confirmed the launch of a MiG-31K from Savasleyka airfield.

According to the Air Force, cruise missiles were heading toward Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Lviv regions.

As reported earlier, explosions were recorded in Kyiv amid a drone attack, and local authorities warned of ongoing air defense activity.
