On the night of July 3–4, the Russian city of Belgorod came under a missile attack. After a series of strikes and explosions, the city lost power, according to local Russian Telegram channels.
According to posts in the public channels, the attack began at approximately 11:35 PM. At that moment, explosions were heard in the city, air defense systems were active, and local residents complained that the lights in their homes were flickering.
A little later, the channels clarified that the strike had hit the Luch thermal power station, after which the lights went out in the area of Kharkovskaya Gora in Belgorod. A fire broke out at the facility.

A little later, there was information that the lights had gone out in almost the entire city and even in the Belgorod agglomeration (the nearest settlements to the city).
The public channel Pepep Belgorod claimed that missile strikes were simultaneously carried out on all the main substations in the city. However, OSINT channels write that only the Luch thermal power plant and an electrical substation were attacked.

According to the publication Meduza, Ukraine has already attacked 8 out of the 10 largest oil refineries in Russia. Some have been struck multiple times.
