Missiles and drones rain down on Sumy region in major Russian attack

Russia carried out a large-scale missile and drone attack on Ukraine's Sumy region overnight on May 31, targeting agricultural enterprises, according to Sumy regional governor Oleh Hryhorov on Facebook.
According to Hryhorov, the Trostianets district came under heavy fire. Preliminary reports indicate that the enemy launched two missiles and 13 drones, striking agricultural facilities. No casualties have been reported.
The strikes destroyed buildings and vehicles belonging to local enterprises.

The enemy also struck the Romny district. One of the drones hit a bread delivery truck in the Nedryhailiv community. The driver, who was delivering bread, was injured and received medical assistance.
According to the regional governor, five more enemy drones attacked a farm in one of the villages of the Romny community. As a result of the attack, farm buildings caught fire, hundreds of livestock died, and dozens of tons of grain were destroyed.

Drone attack on May 31
Last night, Russia launched 109 drones and five missiles at Ukraine. In particular, the enemy attacked with two unmanned combat aerial vehicles (type not identified) from Belgorod region, fired two S-300 anti-aircraft missiles, and three guided air-to-surface missiles Kh-59/69.
The main targets were Kharkiv, Sumy, and Donetsk regions. Air defense forces shot down 69 drones and three guided missiles Kh-59/69. Strikes were recorded in 13 locations.
During the night, Russian drones attacked Kharkiv, hitting several locations.
The enemy also struck Zaporizhzhia region with KAB bombs, killing a 9-year-old girl.
