Missile program and artillery: Zelenskyy holds meeting of Staff
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on Tuesday, December 3. The topics discussed included infrastructure restoration and Ukraine’s missile program, according to President’s Telegram channel.
According to Zelenskyy, the key issue discussed during the meeting was reports on contracts for domestic weapons production in Ukraine.
“A significant number of new and long-term orders for drones: FPVs, reconnaissance drones, long-range drones, and missile drones. Special and detailed attention was given to our missile program - development, orders, and supply,” the President said.
He also mentioned a report on the testing of new types of missiles and expressed gratitude to their developers. Tasks related to contracts for artillery production were also discussed during the meeting.
“Today, I held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Ukraine, the Minister of Energy, and the Commander of the Air Force. Reports were presented on the protection of energy facilities and restoration efforts. Additional priorities were defined in negotiations with partners regarding air defense for Ukraine,” the President emphasized.
Ukraine’s missile program
In August of this year, Zelenskyy first spoke about the successful use of Ukraine’s Palianytsia missile drone and later demonstrated its use.
According to the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, one Palianytsia missile drone costs less than $1 million.
