Missile debris from Russian attack fell near U.S. Embassy in Kyiv
Debris from rockets during the R.F. attack on Tuesday, January 2, fell in the area of the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, according to the acting head of the Shevchenkivskyi District State Administration of Kyiv, Oleksandr Popovtsev.
According to him, speaking about the Shevchenkivskyi district, today we have one epicenter - in the area of the Dorohozhychi metro station - Telehi Street.
"The debris from the downed missile fell in the park area. Fortunately, no one was injured. We have shattered windows in about 10 buildings. Municipal services are working there. We also have minor rocket debris in the area of the U.S. Embassy," noted Popovtsev.
Shelling of Ukraine
On the morning of January 2, Russian forces launched a new massive attack on Ukraine, using missiles such as Kh-101, Kh-555, Kh-55, Calibers, and Kinzhals. The epicenter of the attack was Kharkiv, where the enemy directed Kinzhals, Kyiv, and the surrounding region.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported a total of 92 people were injured today, and four died. At the same time, the number of casualties continues to rise.
In particular, in Kyiv, there are already 49 injured and two casualties known, and in Kharkiv - 49 victims, including children and a 92-year-old deceased. In the Kyiv region, there were two fatalities and 16 injured.
