Minister Umerov appeals to allies following Russia’s deadly attacks on Ukraine's Kherson and Pryluky

Daily Russian attacks on peaceful Ukrainian cities are a systematic elimination of the Ukrainian people. Western countries must respond to the aggressor, according to Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov on Facebook.
Umerov reminded that Russia struck the center of Kherson twice in one day. Its target was the building of the Kherson Regional State Administration.
According to the Defense Minister, the enemy also used 103 kamikaze drones and a ballistic missile to attack Ukraine overnight. The Russian forcess targeted peaceful cities and villages.
In particular, in Pryluky, Chernihiv region, six Shahed drones took the lives of an entire family. A woman and her children — a daughter and a one-year-old infant — were killed. Their husband and father, a rescuer, arrived at the scene in response to the call and only then learned that the drone had hit his own home.
Meanwhile, in Kharkiv, a drone struck a residential high-rise building. At least 17 people were injured, including four children.
Attacks were also recorded in Donetsk, Odesa, Sumy, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
"These are not isolated incidents — this is daily terror. This is not war. This is the systematic destruction of the Ukrainian people. Genocide," Umerov added.
He emphasized that Ukraine is reminding its allies: words of support are not enough — actions are needed. This includes:
-
strong sanctions;
-
real international isolation of the aggressor;
-
timely military aid to Ukraine.
"Only this can stop Russian attacks. As long as Moscow does not feel the real cost of killing civilians, it will continue to do so. The memory of every child killed must be turned into decisions that save the lives of others," the minister stated.
