Minister of so-called Luhansk People's Republic eliminated during shelling
During the shelling of the bakery in the temporarily occupied Lysychansk of the Luhansk region, the Minister of Emergencies of the so-called LNR (Luhansk People's Republic), Alexey Poteleshchenko, was eliminated. He switched sides and joined the militants in 2014, according to Russian media.
The liquidation of the so-called minister was reported by Russian media, including TASS, citing a source in the relevant department of the militants.
What is known about the minister
According to Russian Telegram channels, before 2014, Poteleshchenko occupied senior positions in the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, particularly in the Luhansk region. However, in 2014, he sided with the militants of the so-called LNR.
According to their data, initially, he worked in the so-called people's militia of the LNR, and later in the Ministry of Emergencies of the LNR. He was appointed as the minister of emergencies of the LNR in September 2023.
Shelling of the "bakery" in Lysychansk
On February 3, the leader of the so-called LNR militants, Leonid Pasechnik, announced the shelling of a "bakery" in Lysychansk, blaming the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The facility was used by the occupiers for their purposes.
The militants claimed that as a result of the shelling, 28 people were killed. According to Telegram channels, there was the owner of the establishment - a local businessman, and a collaborator who worked in the occupation tax office among the casualties.
