Military Administration reveals aftermath of Kherson shelling by Russia
Due to today's Russian shelling of Kherson, more than a dozen fires broke out across the city. Meanwhile, energy workers continue their efforts to restore electricity supplies, Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, reports.
According to Prokudin, the enemy primarily targeted residential neighborhoods, resulting in fires in multi-story and private homes, utility outbuildings, garages, and vehicles. A total of 12 fires were recorded, all of which have now been localized.
"All necessary services were on site, and emergency responders successfully rescued three individuals from their damaged homes," Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration added.
Energy workers are working to restore electricity to Kherson residents as quickly as possible. Temporary power outages continue in the following neighborhoods:
- Shumenskyi;
- Zhitloselyshche;
- Tavriiskyi;
- Ostriv;
- Chornobaivka;
- Bilozerka;
- Komyshan.
Shelling of Kherson
On the morning of December 20, the Russian troops launched a massive artillery attack on Kherson. Residential areas, social infrastructure, and critical facilities were hit.
As of 8:50 a.m., Kyiv time, one person was reported killed, and nine others were injured due to the shelling.
In the region, thousands of consumers remain without electricity supply due to the attacks.
