Military administration confirms Russian troops damaged Kurakhove reservoir dam
Russian army damaged the dam of the Kurakhove Reservoir, creating a flood threat for residents of settlements in both Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, according to the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin.
"The Russians damaged the dam of the Kurakhove Reservoir. This strike potentially poses a threat to residents of settlements along the Vovcha River – both in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions," emphasized Filashkin.

He added that as of 04:00 PM Kyiv time, the water level in the river within the boundaries of the Velykonovosilkivska community had risen by 1.2 meters. No flooding of homes has been recorded.
According to Filashkin, the regional military administration continues to monitor the water level in the river and is prepared for any developments. In the event of significant changes, he promised to provide additional updates.
Rumors about the dam in the media
Earlier, local media in the Donetsk region reported that on November 11, as a result of a Russian shelling, the Stari Terny dam of the Kuraikhove reservoir was destroyed.
Roman Padun, the head of the Kuraikhove City Military Administration, told Suspilne that water is already flowing through the villages near the Stari Terny dam.
At the same time, there is no opportunity to inspect the dam due to ongoing Russian shelling.
