Mi-28 military helicopter crashes in Russia's Leningrad region – Crew does not survive

A Mi-28 helicopter crashed in Leningrad region, Russia. All crew members were killed, this was stated in a report by the Russian Ministry of Defense, according to TASS.
According to the Russian ministry, the Mi-28 helicopter crashed during a training flight over the Leningrad region.

"The aircraft crashed in an uninhabited area far from populated settlements. The crew perished," the Russian Defense Ministry added.
They also clarified that the flight was conducted without ammunition. A search and rescue team has arrived at the crash site, and a commission from the Russian Aerospace Forces is also on its way.
In October last year, a light multi-purpose An-3 AK Borus aircraft crashed in Yakutia. There were five people on board — three crew members and two passengers. One of the passengers was killed.
Meanwhile, in December 2024, Russian air defense shot down an Azerbaijan Airlines passenger plane. It was prohibited from landing on Russian territory, forcing the pilots to head toward Kazakhstan.
The plane crashed near the Kazakh city of Aktau. Traces of damage caused by Russian air defense systems were found on the wreckage.
