Massive drone attack: Russia launches 172 UAVs from 7 directions at Ukraine

On the night of March 28, Russia attacked Ukraine with 172 strike drones from seven directions. Air defense forces managed to shoot down most of the enemy UAVs, the Ukrainian Air Force reports.
From 18:00 on April 1 to the morning of April 2, Russians attacked with 172 strike drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types, and other types of UAVs from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russia, temporarily occupied Donetsk, Hvardiiske – temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
About 120 of the launched drones were Shaheds.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defense shot down or suppressed 147 enemy drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types, and other UAVs in the north, south, and east of the country.
At the same time, hits by 22 strike UAVs were recorded at 12 locations, as well as the fall of downed drones (debris) at 8 locations.
"The attack is ongoing, several enemy drones are in the airspace. Follow safety rules!" the Air Force warned.
Attacks on Ukraine
On April 1, Ukrainian air defense shot down and suppressed 345 enemy UAVs during a massive daytime attack. In total, over 700 strike drones of various types were launched during the day.
The epicenter of the attack was western Ukraine, where large-scale power outages and fires were recorded due to hits.
In particular, in the Cherkasy region, a Russian drone killed four people in an open area.
Nikopol also came under attack: Russian forces attacked the city with artillery and FPV drones. As a result of the attack, 10 residents were injured, including one woman in serious condition.
And on the evening of April 1, Russia struck a multi-story building in Kharkiv with a Molniya kamikaze drone. There are casualties as a result of the attack.
